Black and Gold: The Big Bathroom Trend
When it comes to bathroom interior trends, matte black and gold plated rose hues are top of the list for bathroom accessories. In our home the bathroom is one of the most important rooms to get right when it comes to designing it. It can be an expensive investment so creating a timeless space is important, with a gentle nod to the latest interiors trends.
When it comes to the top trends for 2017, it seems a minimalistic style is the way to go – bringing in interesting textures and eye catching accessories. Key colours to look out for are subtle shades of green and blue, not only for paint but all tiles.
Against a minimalist backdrop, a hint of matt black and rose gold accessories will create and beautiful highlight. Executive of Bathroom Butler Andrew Taylor spoke to IOL about the what makes a great bathroom: “Bathroom design and décor has really come a long way with people realising that the bathroom is a pivotal space of relaxation and tranquillity within the home”.
The go-to bathroom suite is pure white, and if you’re lucky enough to already have one then you can give your bathroom a simple cost effective face lift by applying a new lick of paint and replacing your accessories with some on trend upgrades.
Geometric shapes are still extremely popular this year. Against a simple bathroom, a bolder graphic printed tile – when used on the floor or to highlight behind a sink or bath tub – will offer dramatic interesting look.
Another great way to give your bathroom a real sleek look is changing the standard chrome taps and plug holes with either rose gold or matt black replacements.
