Cartier Partners With Net-a-Porter For New Watch Collection

Cartier has long been associated with elegance and its iconic Panthère watch is no exception. But now the jeweller has unveiled a new collection of this classic timepiece in yellow, rose and white gold.

What’s more extraordinary, however, is that the brand has teamed up with Net-a-Porter and the online retailer will be offering the stunning Cartier timepieces for just one month.

If you’re not familiar with the Panthère design, it’s incredibly simple and stylish. A square case and supple chain link bracelet are the hallmarks of this watch, which first appeared in the Cartier range back in 1984.

The new collection features timepieces in yellow, rose and white gold, some of which have diamonds around the bezel. The main difference in this particular iteration is that the watch case is thinner and the timepieces are waterproof, according to WWD.

When you can see how a good design can stand the test of time, it makes sense to look through your jewellery boxes to see if you’ve got any timeless pieces that could do with a bit of a revamp.

Rather than racing out to buy a new watch – these Cartier models start from around £3,000 – you could send an old one for gold plating, bringing back its sparkle and making it a favourite in your wardrobe again.

And given that gold has been growing in popularity among celebrities and style icons, now is the perfect time to add a bit of bling to your ensemble. A simple gold watch can work whether you’re heading to the office, are out shopping or spending an evening in a bar.
