Brits Look For Ways To Save On Christmas Shopping

With Christmas just around the corner, most of us will have at least started to think about what gifts we’re going to buy for our friends and family, but as well as the presents themselves, money is likely to also be on our minds.

Research by the Market Creative recently revealed that 69% of us plan to do some shopping on Black Friday, taking advantage of the various deals offered by retailers, with 62% of people claiming they will take this opportunity to buy Christmas gifts.

Meanwhile, a survey by Accenture found that consumers are on the look out for the best deals, with eight out of ten people questioned claiming they would check Amazon before buying elsewhere.

And retailers shouldn’t expect any loyalty this festive period either, with 74% of those surveyed by Accenture stating they’d buy items from different online or high street stores to get the lowest prices rather than having the convenience of buying all their gifts in one place.

While shopping around for deals and using the likes of Black Friday or Cyber Monday to get the best prices for products is one option for anyone who’s strapped for cash this winter, another choice could be to buy cheaper products and customise them to make them sparkle.

Using a gold plating service to spruce up a piece of jewellery, or even a phone case, could be a great way to add a bit of bling under your Christmas tree without breaking the bank this December.
