Yellow Gold Set To Be A Major Jewellery Trend

Fashionistas will no doubt have been watching the catwalks of Paris closely, with the city having hosted its fashion week earlier this month.

And with New York, London and Milan still to come, there are bound to be more trends to watch in the coming weeks.

But when it comes to jewellery, one of the biggest trade shows is hosted in Munich in February. Inhorgenta Munich features exhibitions from some of the world’s top jewellers, and now organisers have released some of their top jewellery trends for the coming 12 months.

Professional Jeweller revealed that yellow gold is expected to see a resurgence in popularity, while feminine styles are also going to favoured.

The colour pink and the use of enamel in jewellery are among the other things to look out for, according to the magazine.

And, of course, diamonds are taking centre stage once again. The publication noted that the market for the precious stone picked up last year, and this is set to continue into 2017.

One celebrity who’s bang on trend in every sense is Kirsten Dunst. Brides shared a photo of the actress showing off her engagement ring, which features an oval diamond set in yellow gold.

If you’ve got a few well-loved pieces of jewellery lying around, but don’t have the budget to splash out on your own gold and diamonds, you could consider bringing them bang on trend by using gold plating services to revamp the pieces.

And you can even opt for an antique gold finish if you want your jewellery to have an aged look.
