‘Golden’ Star Turns Heads At The Grammys
Usually, when everyone’s arriving for the big award ceremonies, it’s the women’s outfits that the press are scrutinising and snapping shots of.
But at the Grammys this Sunday it was CeeLo Green who outshone the rest, with the singer appearing in a striking outfit that saw him covered literally head to toe in gold.
His incredible outfit included gold gloves and a gold mask, which made him look somewhat surreal. Of course, the internet is awash with comparisons, which included a Ferrero Rocher chocolate and Star Wars droid C3PO.
While CeeLo Green might have taken his outfit a step too far, he wasn’t the only one who went for a metallic look at this year’s award ceremony.
People magazine showcased some of the other glitzy and glamorous styles from the evening, including Julia Carey’s rose-gold knee-length gown by Tom Ford. She positively shimmered as she stood next to husband James Corden on the red carpet.
And she wasn’t the only celebrity who donned what’s being described as “liquid metal” dresses. Katy Perry and Heidi Klum both stood out for all the right reasons in their gowns, both of which had a silver shine.
Heidi Klum even teamed her silver mini dress with a mirrored clutch bag and silver sandals – so there’s no doubt that metallic finishes are set to be big in the fashion world this year.
If you want to join the trend and introduce metals to your outfits, consider choosing some accessories that are in need of a revamp and sending them to a gold plating service. If yellow gold isn’t for you, there’s always rose gold as a softer alternative.
