Harry Kane Shows Off Gold Plated iPhone To Celebrate Golden Boot
The footballer to hit the most goals in the Premier League this year was Tottenham player Harry Kane.
And in celebration of his achievement, scoring 25 goals during the competition, he received a gold-plated iPhone.
The striker published a photo together with his new device on social media site Instagram, showing off the phone that also had ‘Golden Boot 2015/16’ and ‘25 goals’ engraved on it.
He put a caption with the photo, saying: “[The golden phone is] something I will keep for a very long time!”
Kane will now be preparing for playing in the Euros 2016, having been picked in the 23-man England team.
Teddy Sheringham, who also played for England and Spurs, offered his support for the striker, telling the Mirror: “Can Kane challenge for the Golden Boot at Euro 2016? Yeah, of course he can. If he hits a run of form like he did in the league then absolutely.”
The European Championships, which are being hosted by France this year, kick off on Friday (June 10th), and come to an end one month later.
England’s first game is on Saturday, when the Three Lions play against Russia at 20:00.
Kane had fierce competition for the Golden Boot, and narrowly beat Jamie Vardy and Sergio Aguero for the title.
Vardy scored 24 goals for Leicester City in the contest, with his team gong on to become victors of the Premier League. Their 3-1 win over Everton made history, with the club celebrating their first title in 132 years.
Aguero also hit 24 goals during the league for Manchester City, being beaten by Kane for the Golden Boot by one goal.
