Have You Started Thinking About Valentine’s Gifts Yet?

Valentine’s Day has a habit of creeping up on all of us. In January it still seems a long way off, but before you know it 14 February has come around and you’re scrambling to find the perfect gift among dozens of other shoppers.

So, it certainly pays to be organised and start thinking about what you’re going to get your significant other sooner rather than later.

This is especially the case if you want to wow them with a personalised present, with the Huffington Post recently offering some suggestions on what to get if you’re looking for something a bit different.

Among the options highlighted by the website were engraved cufflinks, a customised flask and a superhero wallet – all great options for him. While for women, a zodiac necklace, a monogrammed journal or a Chinese zodiac charm were among the top suggestions.

However, getting a personalised gift isn’t all about having someone’s initials stamped, engraved or stenciled onto something – it’s about thinking carefully about what your loved one would really like, and buying them something they can treasure or enjoy.

If you love the idea of giving flowers, but want to take it to the next level, you could order a gold plated rose ahead of Valentine’s Day. That certainly shows that you’ve gone the extra mile.

Of course, as well as a gift you also need to think about how you’d like to spend this most romantic of days together. BT recently offered some tips on how to have a fantastic Valentine’s Day without spending big bucks.

It’s suggestions included recreating your first date together, going out to watch the sunset, or having a no-tech rule for the whole day and night that you’re together.
